Usage Limits and What Happens at Capacity
Each subscription plan defines limits for key resources. Understanding these limits helps you choose the right plan and avoid interruptions.
Plan Limits#
| Resource | Starter | Pro | Business | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Renders per month | 1,000 | 5,000 | 25,000 | 100,000+ |
| Templates | 5 | 25 | 100 | Unlimited |
| Asset storage | 250 MB | 1 GB | 5 GB | 25 GB+ |
| API keys | 2 | 10 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Team members | 2 | 10 | 25 | 50 |
| API rate limit | 30/min | 120/min | 300/min | 1,000/min |
What Happens When You Hit a Limit#
Behavior depends on your plan:
Hard Stop (Starter)#
When you reach a limit on the Starter plan, additional requests for that resource are blocked until the limit resets (renders reset monthly) or you upgrade to a higher plan.
Overage Billing (Pro, Business, Enterprise)#
On Pro and higher plans, exceeding certain limits (like renders) does not block your usage. Instead, additional usage is billed at a per-unit overage rate on your next invoice. This ensures uninterrupted service.
Monitoring Your Usage#
Track your current usage from the Settings > Billing page. The usage section shows a progress bar for each metered resource, so you can see how close you are to your plan limits.
Upgrading#
If you consistently approach or exceed your limits, consider upgrading to a higher plan. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you receive a prorated credit for the unused portion of your current plan.
